Phil Sharp Expects "A Kicking" on Day 1 of the AG2R Transat

ImageOnboard 'Atlantick FT' Phil Sharp, 2006 Route Du Rhum winner, got underway with his first double-handed transatlantic race. The Figaro AG2R race started at 1400 local time this afternoon as they race from picturesque Concarneau in France to St Barthelemy in the West Indies - some 3,700 miles away.  Phil is onboard with David Krizek, a Czech sailor known for his 3rd place in the Mini class last year and they face fierce competition with many top French names in the fleet.

I can’t really believe it’s only a week now until I'll be setting sail on the most competitive transatlantic race in my sailing career to date, the Figaro Transat AG2R, which starts Sunday 20th April at 1400.

Dominion to Sponsor Phil for Transat AG2R

ImageDominion Fiduciary Services Ltd (DFSL) has signed up to sponsor British yachtsman and Route du Rhum winner Phil Sharp. The sponsorship will last throughout Phil’s current Figaro campaign which culminates in the double-handed transatlantic race, the Transat AG2R starting on 20th April.
